๐DIY Fitness: Your Renovation Project
Welcome to this week's Fit Tip Friday! There's some great content for you today. But before we get there, I want to let you know that I will be taking July off, so you likely won't be hearing from me until Friday, August 4th. It's been two years since I started Layman's Fitness, and I have yet to take a break like this. It's overdue.

With the popularity of home improvement shows in the last few years, DIY projects are a familiar concept. What I'm calling DIY fitness follows a similar framework. A "Do-It-Yourself" approach to fitness is the activity of stewarding and strengthening your body without the regular employment or 1/1 coaching from a professional. There are times when I'd certainly recommend having a coach, and the DIY fitness journey is never done in absolute isolation (you will always be learning from others through videos, podcasts, books, relationships, etc...).However, the goal of DIY fitness, and this blog post, is for you to learn to develop the base knowledge, skills, and information you need to take care of your own body. ๐DIY Fitness: Your Renovation Project
๐ชA Simple Kettlebell Training Guide
If you've been following Layman's Fitness for a while, it's no surprise to you that I enjoy the kettlebell.I mean what's not to enjoy? It's a portable, versatile, muscle-inducing, fat-dissolving, grip-crushing cannonball with a handle. But kettlebell training is very different from other training modalities. It's a unique tool that requires a unique approach. And in your DIY fitness journey, this post can help you learn what this kettlebell thing is all about, what it can do for your body, and most importantly, how to start training with it. ๐A Simple Kettlebell Training Guide
